Was I wrong to do this?

Me and bf been together for a year and a half (were both only 17) but anyway this morning he jept being a dick, he always is one, and I just couldn't take it anymore. He was saying how all these others girls are so sexy and if a girl would bendover he would be like ooooh or dammnnn so I just smacked him in the face. At first he was like what's wrong with you then I started crying so he hugged me and was like calm down. I just walked away I was so upset. Was I wrong to hit him? I just couldn't take him being a dick. Be honest.
