I'm looking for a song...someone help me out please?

Okay, so I know that this isn't much to go on, and I hate feeling stupid. But I heard a song tonight on 103.5 the x (Joplin, MO). The song came on sometime between 10:15 and 10:45 tonight. Unfortunately, they do not have a song line up available on their website and I've heard people say that it takes forever for them to get back to you which sucks. I THINK the song is from somewhere in the mid to late 90s?? I know for SURE it is a male singer. Alternative song would be my guess. Not dance, not pop, not rap. He starts out saying "Oooh, oooh, oooh, ooooh." Kinda high pitched like. Sheesh just reading that back to myself sounds stupid. As I said, not much to go on. Throughout the song he will the same "Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh" line though. In the chorus perhaps? I wish I knew some lyrics to it other than that. I have no idea as far as lyrics, band (or singer?) name and I do not know the song name hence my problem. Does anyone have any ideas that they could throw my way? Please, no sarcasm. Thanks guys! You are music gods in my eyes if you can figure this out on so little information!
